IMMIGRATION PROCEDURES: PANAMA RETIRED OR PENSIONED VISA
DECRETO LEY No.3 (de 22 de febrero de 2008)
The Panamanian government consents immigrants to apply for a legal residency in his State to retirees foreigners or people with pensions incomes guaranteed for life from other countries to qualify for the Panama Pensioner Visa, or the Panama Pensionado Visa.
The aspirants must demonstrated by a certification or form, signed in original from the Social Security Administration from the country they belong or pension administrator, which shows that you will receive at least a minimum income of one thousand US dollars (US$1,000.00) monthly. In case the applicants have dependents or spouse will need to show an additional two hundred and fifty US dollars (US$250.00) income per dependents, per month.
The certifications must be notarized and authenticated by the Panamanian Consulate nearest you (or by “apostile”).
In case the applicant has an pension income less than US$1,000 per month, but has a property title in his /her personal name with a registered value no less than One Hundred Thousand dollars (US$100,000), the monthly lifetime pension income may be reduced to a minimum of Seven Hundred Fifty dollars (US$750).
